  • Everlasting Hope Rescue & Sanctuary

    SKU: R-49

    Our Mission Statement...

The goal of our organization is to help animals in need.  Those companions who have been abandoned, neglected, abused or simply have no place else to turn.  Our greatest desire is to try and  help educate the public about the responsibility of having an animal as a companion.

There is a great need to have a place where animals that are in serious medical conditions and or disabled, to go.  We would like to eventually have a facility where we can specialize in working with those who are unable to live in homes.  We would like to be able to provide as natural of an environment for those in care. For those animals in need of special requirements (such as special housing, medications, therapy, diets and assistance), giving enrichment to the lives of each companion who comes to the rescue-sanctuary.

The goal for all involved at the rescue-sanctuary is that all companions who come to us, to be able to have the chance at being in the best nurturing environment that can be provided.  Giving them time to learn to trust, have their medical needs met and to be evaluated, to find out what kind of a home would be best suited for them.  For those who would be unable to make the transition into a home life environment, we would like to have the facilities set up to allow them to reside at Everlasting Hope Rescue-Sanctuary for as long as they need.

Every companion who comes to Everlasting Hope Rescue-Sanctuary is treated with the utmost respect, compassion, dignity and care.  Having a wonderful team of supporters, volunteers and board members and the best vet ever, will help us achieve giving the very best to those who depend on us. We believe that making a difference is the most important part of running a rescue-sanctuary.

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."  Winston Churchill

    MISSION

The Chloe Sanctuary uses proven methods to help physically and emotionally damaged parrots and cockatoos heal, providing them sanctuary for life in an environment tailored to their needs.

With recent estimates of up to 60 million captive psittacines—the larger species living up to 80 years—the need to train caretakers and inform the public is daunting. The average person bringing home a parrot does not realize that these creatures are like a two-year-old with a pair of pliers and a foghorn. Seeing education as the key to protecting these unique creatures, we use educational video productions to inform the public about these exceptional wild animals.

  • East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue

    SKU: R31
    MISSION

East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue is a non-profit exotic animal sanctuary located in rural Pennsylvania. Our goal is to provide a forever home to the animals in our care. Does your favorite animal have feathers, fur, or scales? Our unique sanctuary is home to more than 40 species of exotic animals including birds, carnivores, and reptiles! For all of them, the rescue provides a lasting refuge where they can live their days in peace and safety.

    ECEAR’s goals include:
-Provide a safe haven for these magnificent animals, many of whom have experienced a lifetime of displacement from their natural habitat and, in some cases, horrible mistreatment.
-Offer education to the public about the special needs of captive exotic animals who are unable to help themselves.
-Fundraise to keep the rescue operational.
Working with a supportive and involved board of directors and a few highly dedicated volunteers at the rescue, we are here not to promote these animals as pets, but rather to provide clear examples of the consequences of human self-interest and interference in the animals’ lives.

We receive the most calls about bird surrenders. With cognitive abilities that rival those of porpoises (and even 5 year-old children, according to some studies), coupled with a justifiable tendency towards developing emotional/behavioral problems due to lack of proper care, and a life-span of up to 100 years, parrots can be very challenging to keep as pets and are therefore often neglected, abused, and/or abandoned.

The birds at ECEAR have come here from various backgrounds. Many have had difficult lives, and quite a few have been passed through multiple homes, resulting in trust issues, anxiety, and even aggression in some cases. We also have some resident parrots who came to live with us after the death of an owner, or from people who made the responsible choice by surrendering their bird(s) to us due to various circumstances.

ECEAR has approximately 30 parrots living at our facility, varying in size from small conures to hyacinth macaws. We do not offer parrot adoption at our rescue, as our goal is to provide a loving, permanent home to all animals in our care. Due to a devastating fire last year, we are in desperate need of supplies (food, perches, toys for enrichment, cleaning supplies, etc.) and any donations are greatly and sincerely appreciated.

  • Forever Feathers Rescue

    SKU: R28
Unfortunately, situations can arise in which birds need to be removed from their current homes, either temporarily or permanently. Changes in family circumstances or financial difficulties can sometimes lead to neglect or even abuse. If these types of events occur, Feathers Forever Rescue is available to help. We will step in to aid owners and birds in need, and help them through the difficulties that are affecting their birds.
Feathers Forever Rescue provides both group and individualized education programs for novices and experienced bird owners alike. We do outreach at pet stores, schools, clubs, and trade shows. We also provide assistance to people who want a more rewarding relationship with their companion birds.
As of 2015, we have placed over 1500 exotic birds into loving homes, and we have 4 birds in our permanent care as a result of health and/or behavioral concerns. We primarily serve Lower Michigan and neighboring states.
Birds that come under the protection of Feathers Forever Rescue are evaluated to determine their physical and emotional health. After this period of assessment, the rehabilitation process begins. This process helps the bird prepare to become a fully integrated member of a forever family. Depending on the bird’s condition when it arrives at Feathers Forever, it may take weeks, or even months for this process to be completed.
Feathers Forever Rescue carefully screens prospective bird parents to make sure they are properly matched with a companion bird, and provides an opportunity for the bird to become acquainted with its new family in order to be sure they are compatible before moving day.
No matter how long it takes, Feathers Forever Rescue will never place a bird with a new family until we are sure that bird is ready to go to its forever home, and that its new family is well-prepared to love and care for it.
